Hora Route 5
Route 5 (Japanese: ５ばんどうろ Route 5) is an west north-east route located in central Hora. The western terminus is at Route 4, and the north-east terminus is at a waterfall which cannot be scaled. Route 5 is one of only three numbered routes in the Pokémon world that is a dead end (the others being Route 25 in Kanto, Route 224 in Sinnoh and Route 18 in Unova). It is is one of the few routes with
If one heads east from Route 4, they will come across Route 5, a route plagued by near constant rain and thunderstorms. Due to the rain, several Berry and Apricorn trees grow here in abundance. This route is very unmaintained, and, aside from Trainers, humans are rare in this area, leading the grass to grow very long, making excellent hiding places for Pokémon. Because of the long grass, it is impossible for a trainer to ride their Bicycle through the field, forcing trainers to walk through. There are two paths on this route, separated by a long river. For those who lack Surf, bridges are conveniently located to aide in crossing through to the other side. There is a Day Care located on the end of this Route, and, while raising Pokémon for Trainers, it also functions as a Breeding Center, taking care of Pokémon Eggs. A traveling Contest Hall visited here once.
